How to cheat at Wordfeud
The dictionary finds every word you can play with your tiles and sorts them by points. The highest-scoring word is at the top.
Field 1 – your letters
Type the tiles on your rack. If you have a blank tile, type *. You can use up to two blanks. A letter played with a blank scores 0 points, and the list already takes that into account. If you leave the field empty, the whole alphabet is searched.
Field 2 – letters in a fixed order
Type letters that are already on the board and that your word must pass through.
Example
You have the letters "quieter". Type them in field 1 and click "Help me cheat". At the top of the list you'll find "Requite" and "Quieter", 17 points each.
If "ng" is on the board, type "ng" in field 2. Now the list only shows words that pass through "ng" – for example "Queering", 20 points.
If you type only "ng" in field 2 and leave field 1 empty, you'll see which words fit around "ng" and which letters to save.
Advanced search
Beginning of word: the word must start with these letters.
End of word: the word must end with these letters – handy for extending a word on the board.
Max. and min. number of letters: set how long the word can be, for example when there's only room for four letters.
The list shows up to 100 words. If you get more, narrow the search with the fields at the bottom.
Remember – cheating at Wordfeud is still cheating.

Tips for winning at Wordfeud
Put the expensive letters on the squares that double or triple the letter – ideally so they count in two words at once.
Learn the short words with the expensive letters. Use the word lists on the left, for example "Short words with Q".
Play words parallel to a word already on the board. That way you score for several short words in one move.
Save your blank for a move that scores big, for example when you can play all seven tiles and get a bonus.
If you only have vowels or only consonants, it often pays to swap tiles instead of playing a small word.
Use "End of word" to find endings that extend a word on the board.
Frequently asked questions
Why is a word missing?
The word list is corrected continuously based on suggestions from users. If a word is missing, or a word is shown that the game doesn't accept, type it in the fields above.
Why does the list only show 100 words?
You see the 100 highest-scoring words. Use the fields for beginning, end and number of letters to find exactly the word that fits the board.
Are the points the same as in the game?
The points are the sum of the letter values, without bonus squares. Bonus squares depend on where you place the word. Letters played with a blank score 0 points.
Does it cost anything?
No, it's free.
